"Neurons" are the foundational units within the brain and nervous system - in fact, your brain contains nearly 90 billion of these tiny things that are so important! They are responsible for reception of sensory input from the world around us, sending commands to the muscular system, and transforming and relaying the electrical signals between the brain and body. So when you squish that yarn, it's your neurons firing that are telling you how badly that soft yarn wants to be cast on in your new project. 🧠
